1978 Vintage New Zealand Māori Koruru 10 cent coin Pendant.

This lovely vintage coin is a 1978 Māori koruru mask 10 cent coin. 

The design of the meeting-house koruru face at the center that was designed by Reginald George James Berry an acclaimed New Zealand artist who designed a vast majority of decimal coins when New Zealand transitioned to decimal currency in 1967.

The Koruru face is used as a guardian, typically on the front gable of an ancestral meeting house.

It is 24mm in diameter & has a sterling silver frame & jump rings & I have popped it on a 40cm leather choker with stainless steel fittings.
